standing up for my sister

my sister want to go to her senior prom but her high school wont let her below is the reasons why.

Rancocas Valley Regional High School, the high school which I attend, is telling me I can't go to my own prom on the basis that I am being home-schooled through their program. I attended the high school for three and a half years, and had to leave for medical reasons. When I tried to return, I was told by my guidance counselor that if I were to stay, the staff would have to treat me differently from other students. Everyone in my school knows how teachers talk to each other about their students behind their backs. I chose a home-schooling option instead of being stigmatized by staff and students. When prom approached, my friend asked me to go with her and I bought a dress. A $400 dress. And when my friend went to buy our tickets, she was told I was unable to go because I "was not a student in good standing". My family contacted the school and the assistant principal, Ms. Brannin, told me that because I was home-schooled (through the high school), I am unable to go to my own school prom. She told us that it is school policy that if a student cannot attend RV by walking in the doors every day, then they are not in good standing, even if the student is home-schooled because of accident or illness. In a school that claims to support respect, integrity, and diversity among all of its students, it is both disgusting and disheartening to realize that the fundamental school policies reserve the right to revoke these promises they so valiantly champion.
